The east terrace is the spot for breakfast in the morning sun admiring the waves pounding below you – the fortunate spot dolphins. The heated pool is picture perfect with the sea as its backdrop, succulents and bougainvillea exploding with colour, pine and carob giving scuttle room for the over-heated. A big dining table, an outside kitchen and barbecue mean evening meals will be no more arduous than hurling some fresh fish onto the coals and rustling up a salad.
You’ll mostly be outside, but on the rare occasions when it rains it’s homely and inviting inside, with candles, books and games. Bedrooms have tall windows and doors leading to Juliet balconies, with plenty of light and views over sea or garden.
Start your day with a walk down through the woods for a swim in the sea (you have private access to the water), stock up at an organic farm shop nearby, hire kit and have a go at different water sports before lunch with local wine at one of the little restaurants.
