What a lovely place to come and stay for a true Lakeland experience. We were bowled over by Jo's wonderful renovation and furnishing of this historic Hawkshead inn. It's based in the centre of the village, but so close to the dramatic lakes, tarns and fells. Ollie and his team are very welcoming, offering delicious, locally themed food and drink including beer from a craft brewery nearby.
