The Shippen

The Shippen is a wonderful place, deep in stunning countryside. You can lie in bed and gaze out of the huge window and look at the beautiful view. You can laze on the comfortable sofa infront of the fire and watch movies or listen to music, you can go walking and explore the gorgeous surrounding area. Jeannie and her husband are lovely people - so kind, laid back and helpful. We went especially to see the ponies on the Long Mynd. We went at sunrise and sunset and it was a magical experience. I love Sawdays properties, and this one certainly did not dissapoint.

A wonderfully presented and equipped place in a beautifully tranquil setting. We loved lying in bed with the curtains open looking at the stars and the moon. The place was comfy, cozy and a much needed retreat from the winter blues.

The Shippen is a wonderful haven away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The touches inside are delightful. The picture window with patio door and access to the veranda is special. The view from the bed is magnificent. The bed is super comfortable. The three sofas are all different and have lovely light to sit on and read. The sound system is superb. The TV set up is ace. The maps and walking books are plentiful. The Shropshire Way goes pretty much past the door. The Stiperstone National Nature Reserve is a few miles away. The hosts are very friendly.
