- Popping to the pub, The Peacock, in the village for supper if you don't feel like cooking
You should know
- Bedrooms are upstairs and one has a low beam – mind your head!
The building maintains all the feel of a medieval house, with no traffic noise
to spoil the atmosphere. Most special is that heavily beamed bedroom,
with a creaking floorboard, original wooden panelling and wall hangings.
Beyond the window, a formal garden. It would be wasted on anybody who
didn't insist on going to bed with a candle (though you may have to bring
your own).

This is a beautiful place to stay - quiet, private, warm and homely, and really well located for visiting places of interest without having to drive very far. Sarah was welcoming without being intrusive, and being on my own with my 2 daughters, it was good to know she was only next door if needed. The cottage was very clean and well appointed and we all felt very relaxed staying there. We would highly recommend The Old Pottery for anyone wanting a break "away from it all" (but the Wifi is excellent if you want it!).
