The Experience

A peaceful setting in acres of farmland, but still very handy for North Berwick. Just a 10-minute walk to stunning beaches and 15 to the High Street with its independent shops, bars and restaurants. An old stone-built steading has been given a splendid new lease of life – underfloor heating warms sleek oak boards, a wood-burner keeps you toasty and modern design brings in light. Throughout are funky light fittings, contemporary furniture, and an up-to-the-minute kitchen and bathroom. The Barn is on two levels with master bedroom upstairs, two bedrooms downstairs and a mezzanine snug above the living room. Outside you’ll find everything well-equipped with a barbecue and garden furniture. Golfers will be in paradise with five courses within five miles; for non-golfers, there’s coastal walking, cycling, swimming, bird-watching or riding, and visits to a distillery or Bass Rock seabird sanctuary. A welcome basket from the owners next door includes locally roasted Steampunk Coffee. Fabulous.

Reviews

Emma, Edinburgh

I stayed at Steph’s amazing steading for a long weekend with 5 good friends having had it recommended to me. The location was fab and It exceeded our expectations on every level. The space is brilliant, decor and fixtures and fittings are stunning and of really high quality and the attention to detail is second to none. We really appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack and personalised card, the discount vouchers for local places (which we used) and the LTCo toiletries were lush. Steph also provided loads of helpful detail on things to do in the local area before we arrived. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Williamstone Farm Steadings exceeded expectations! Absolutely delightful from start to finish - beautiful building, gorgeous decor, lovely owner and only ten minute walk into town and the beach. We will be back!

Judith, Northumberland

The barn is stunning. It is beautifully furnished to the highest standard and exceptionally clean and very well equipped. The welcoming touches including fresh flowers and some staple supplies on arrival were most welcome. The layout of the Barn was ideal for us, the beds are so comfortable, the bathrooms luxurious, and the living area with a state-of-the-art wood burner was fabulous. The Barn is within walking distance to the beach and North Berwick, we couldn't fault it and hope to return in the new year.

David, Knutsford

Exceptionally well-equipped, spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and quiet. The Barn is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach and North Berwick, which has an excellent range of independent shops and restaurants. The birdlife by the coast is impressive (curlew, sanderling, heron, cormorants, oyster catchers and many more) and there is so much to explore in the local area. Stephanie was really helpful before, during and after our stay, providing lots of suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Exceeded our expectations, highly recommended!

Liz, Edinburgh

Just had a lovely week with friends staying in the ‘Barn’. Beautifully stylish while also cosy and homely. Equipped to very high standard with all you need - plenty of space to relax, immaculately clean and the beds are so comfortable! The Barn is in an ideal location - 10-15 minute walk into town or to the beach. Stephanie provided a great service both before and during our stay - prompt replies to any queries, very helpful and lots of good suggestions to make the stay enjoyable. Can highly recommend the ‘Barn'.
