Bwthyn Gwe, St Davids

My Dad gifted me a trip to Bwthyn Gwe in St David's for my 30th birthday in July. We were luckily able to go in November after local lockdowns eased and I am so pleased we could. Being from Wales, St David's has always been a destination for a minibreak but this cottage made the experience even more brilliant than it usually is. We arrived to a warm, cwtchy cottage with lights on and fire all ready to light. The cottage wasn't just clean, but impeccable and smelt just like home. Comfiest bed ever, a home away from home. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely time at this cottage in beautiful St. Davids. It has been restored and decorated to a very high standard and is very comfortable; the bed will guarantee you a great night’s sleep and the Rayburn will keep you warm and toasty on any cold day. There is a lovely garden and ample parking, the kitchen has everything you need and we were made to feel very welcome. The property was spotless and felt very safe with Covid precautions. Many of the restaurants in St Davids are booked up in advance at the moment, due to covid, so worth booking meals in advance.

What a complete treat to stay in this beautiful cottage.. set in the heart of St. David’s but quietly tucked away in a courtyard setting with views over The Cathedral.The cottage is very tastefully decorated and well equipped to an incredibly high standard. We were also very cosy with a Rayburn and a log burner. We enjoyed stunning coastal walks and some excellent food in local pubs and restaurants all a short walk from Bwthyn Gwe and can’t wait to return as soon as possible.

My partner and I have just had the most perfect break at St David's. We fell in love with the little city but more over - Hamish's cottage. Perfectly located for having a mooch around. Tastefully presented, immaculately clean. We came home feeling well rested but with a heavy heart to leave. I could happily have stayed forever. We really enjoyed our stay at the Bwthyn Gwe, a great location for visiting St. Davids and the local area. The Cottage was spotlessly clean with fantastic facilities which made our stay highly enjoyable.
