Domaine Le Mas

My fiancée and I stayed here over the winter whilst searching for a wedding venue. It is beautifully decorated, gorgeous comfy beds, hot power shower, a fantastic log fire for the winter months (and heating!) and beautiful views to enjoy. There is an excellent kitchen stocked with any equipment you could possibly need. Frank and Rupert were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to help us with dinner reservations and potential wedding venue suggestions! One of the best places I have ever stayed in the Dordogne, we will definitely be back!

Our best travel friends joined us at Le Mas late this spring. Though seasoned travelers all, they agreed with us that Le Mas was the finest blend of creature comforts, peaceful isolation and convenient location imaginable. Rupert and Franck were discrete hosts, but always available and eager to share their recommendations and enthusiasm for this, our favorite region of France. The house was impeccable, the kitchen expertly outfitted, and the renovations designed to balance gathering space and privacy for all. No detail was overlooked. We could not have asked for more.

We loved staying at Le Mas and wanted to say just how impressed we were with not just the property, views and location, but with your attention to detail and care with which you run it. It is so refreshing to find such a clean, beautifully designed and well equipped home to adopt for a week and a wonderful bonus to meet two such lovely guys at the same time. We honestly couldn't recommend Le Mas et Le Mazet with any greater candor.

In the middle of the Dordogne countryside we stayed at this beautifully restored farmhouse. The two (charming) owners have put all their energy, love and taste into restoring the house into a luxurious place to stay. They have managed to keep many of the old elements of the house such as the big fireplace, the old beams and the sandstone walls that make the house extremely homely. The owners were very hospitable (without intruding in any way) and went out of their way to make our stay as memorable as possible. We made great hikes in the region. We will definitely return to this lovely place

I had a wonderful stay at Le Mas and Le Mazet. Rupert and Franck were friendly and accommodating hosts, and had many useful suggestions about what to do/where to eat in this richly interesting and historic region. The property itself was beautiful with a combination of scenic views and French style (the bathrooms were particularly modern). Everything was impeccably clean. Outside was equally pretty, with the pool (which was of perfect size for cooling off) looking over the hills where we routinely saw kestrels and butterflies. The thoughtful Summer Kitchen allowed us to make the most of this.
