Live in the lap of luxury in a 600-year-old regenerated farmhouse, enjoy fine fittings, great lighting, games, castle view and infinity pool
Sleeping from 4 – 8
The Experience
Forget the gated estate, the laundered golf course, the wholesale luxury of hyper-modern bathrooms, just revel in the authenticity of this magnificent 600-year-old farmhouse, its outside staircase in the pretty paved courtyard, its glorious views of mountains and medieval castle, its constantly-tended garden where roses climb, lavender wafts and there’s space for all to ramble or run. The gardens and beautiful infinity pool are floodlit at night. Bedrooms have those heart-stopping views, scatter cushions on embroidered bedcovers and fine copies of old masters while communal areas are big-beamed and cosy with, as everywhere, loads of space. As well as an overflowing welcome basket, you will find toys for all ages, the latest electronics and a chef’s kitchen – well, two kitchens if you use Capanetta’s, the less elaborate, more intimate house. Walkers will be in paradise, golfers will love the privilege of a Robert Trent Jones course on the spot, art and history buffs will feast on Umbria’s treasures – or even jump on a train to Florence. Chrissie is the most welcoming and efficient of managers.
