- Snuggling in with the wood-burner blazing on a cold winter night, listening to the wind in the trees
- Bringing your dog and enjoying some wonderful walks - there's a dedicated wet and muddy dog washing area outside
- Spending time on the decking with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, taking in the view, watching birds
You should know
- The track up is a tad bumpy and unmade
- There may well be guests staying in the other cottage across the way - take both for a bigger party
- Mobile signal can be a bit patchy but there is fibre WiFi
The Count House at Okel Tor has a lovely feel to it - small but thoughtfully set up with everything you could need for your stay. The history of the place is evident and it's hard to believe how busy and industrial it would have been down here 150 years ago. Now, it's all so peaceful, calm and natural. Calstock too is a gem of a village for locals and tourists alike- quaint, quirky and vibrant.

Our second visit and it certainly doesn't disappoint again. The cottage is peaceful and quiet, with the most amazing views that make every stay special. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind. We'll definitely keep coming back! Thank you Jon and Jenny.
