The Experience
You’re not far up a single-track road out of the village and close to wildly beautiful Strangles beach. Trevigue hunkers down just back from the coast as it has for 700-ish years; it’s the Crockers’ passion for the place that invigorates it now. They give you a wing of their family home so you have complete independence.
You have a lovely sitting and dining room with a swish Loaf sofa and a huge smart TV with Technics Cinema sound – plus a collection of specially selected DVDs, so when the weather isn’t playing ball you’ll be snuggled in here. On chilly evenings light the wood-burner in the Inglenook fireplace. Leading on from the sitting room is a brand new kitchen with Fired Earth tiles, a bake-off style cooker and hob and a plethora of stuff to cook with.
A second sitting room is filled with interesting books: from here a spiral slate staircase leads to a huge double bed, walk-in shower and impressive Burlington sink.

Trevigue is perfectly located in a very beautiful spot of the Northeastern Cornish coast right beside the South West Coast path. The North Wing in Trevigue is a spacious, beautiful and cosy retreat providing everything we needed. We loved having our breakfast in the morning sun lit living room an enjoyed reading in the setting sunlight in the spacious dormitory. The bed is very comfortable and the tranquility of the place is unbeatable. Gayle and Henry are a very friendly welcoming hosts. They provided us with plenty of useful suggestions for walks and excursions.

Love staying here. It’s a wonderful cosy retreat, with the stunning Cornish coast right at your doorstep. The North Wing is finished to a great standard and has everything you could need and more - lovely touches from the furnishings to the wood burner, from coffee machines to electric blankets, as soon as we step in it feels like a home away from home. The Crockers are very welcoming and great hosts, we always leave looking forward to when we next return.

What a perfect, cosy bolt hole from which to explore the gorgeous, rugged North coast of Cornwall. Trevigue North Wing has everything you need to relax after a day of walking the coast paths - lashings of hot water, comfy bed, kitchen equipped with everything you need, cosy throws and blankets for chilling in front of the wood burner and utter peace and quiet - we slept so well! Lovely hosts who give you complete privacy but are there to help out with anything you might need at the drop of a hat. Thank you! We’ll be back!

Location
The neighbourhood
Trevigue is perched on the cliffs of North Cornwall above a nearly private beach only reached via a footpath. It's right on the Atlantic Highway, giving you access to beaches all along the coast, like the hidden gem Bossiney Cove, between Tintagel and Boscastle. The nearest shop is 3 miles away at Wainhouse Corner. A great pub, The Coombe Barton Inn, is a 20-minute walk at Crackington Haven.
Local points of interest from Gayle Crocker
- The history of Trevigue is staggering, it is even mentioned in the Doomsday book! Flag stone slate floors, oak beamed ceilings, roaring woodburning fires.
- An almost private beach just below the farmhouse reached via a footpath that winds it way down the cliffs.
- The South West footpath heads to the lovely Crackington Haven in one direction and the pretty village of Boscastle in the other.
- Crackington Haven beach with its iconic towering cliffs either side of the bay is perfect for surfing, beach combing or simply sunbathing with a good book!
- The ancient St Gennys church perched on the cliffs overlooking the sea. A great place to practice your mindfulness!
- A woodland walk straight out of an Enid Blyton book (!) winds its way from Trevigue to Crackington haven beach. Time it right and you can have a lovely snack from the two super cafes or a Cornish cider from the recently refurbished pub overlooking the sea

Introducing
Gayle Crocker
The Crockers have lived and farmed at Trevigue for over 40 years, putting their hearts and souls into working with the land, not just on it. They are passionate about using the farm to enhance and protect the environment. They say that they, and many of their guests, find the isolation here addictive, with the coast just a stone's throw away and the remote beach giving them space to relax and be inspired by the countryside. You might well meet them hiking on the cliffs, strolling through the ancient woodland or down on the sand.
Very comfortable and peaceful. Made very welcome with lovely hosts.
