Sara is an excellent host who is both proactive and responsive. Her place is a very relaxing and private and is in an excellent location both to the village amenities and for accessing local walks. Sara provided extremely useful advice and guidance for local amenities. The availability of on site parking is fabulous as these small Cotswold villages are very difficult to find parking otherwise. We highly recommend staying with Sara.

Mayfield Studio is a delightful space, with wonderful walking straight from the doorstep. It has everything you need for a great break in the midst of a delightful countryside. Sara is the perfect hostess - the flapjacks and fruit on arrival were a lovely touch. See you again.

The studio is extremely well designed & very comfortable. Sara is a lovely host & nothing is to much trouble for her she makes sure you have everything you could need, including the most delicious flapjacks, fresh bread & preserves. Off road parking is secure.

Stunning Studio in a stunning location! Got lucky with the weather so we could make the most of the surrounding area. Rococo Gardens and back is a good walk. The Oak pub is great, good food and drink and not a long walk either. Sara you are the perfect host! We felt extremely relaxed, cozy and at home here. Will definitely come back!

We had a fabulous stay at your wonderful Studio. The treats and breakfast supplies were excellent and really appreciated, the luxury ‘no nasties’ toiletries as well. The loft bed was comfy, the fan was a thoughtful touch, and waking up to the sunrise was so nice. Painswick was an outstanding place to travel from for our thoroughly foodie long weekend, and the surrounds were stunning. Thank you for the effort you have clearly invested to make this a wonderful place to stay.

We just had a great weekend at Mayfield Studio. Sara was very helpful and recommended various places to visit in the area. She was also the kindest host to our baby and made sure we had everything we needed. The Studio was spotless, nicely decorated and in the perfect location to visit the Cotswolds. We highly recommend it!

Mayfield Studio is nestled in the heart of the authentic South Cotswolds village of Painswick, next to Slad, where Laurie Lee grew up. Sara (who lives next door but completely separate) made us feel truly welcome and told us of local walks and the best places to eat. The studio is spotless and stylish with a spacious modern feel. There are heaps of area guide books, walking books, local maps etc. It is just the place to relax after a hard (but enjoyable) day walking. Sara provided local farm eggs, freshly baked bread, muesli and delicious cookies. We can't recommend the studio highly enough.

A very cool space that was both impressive to look at but also very comfortable. The studio was just a short walk from all the amenities in Painswick and a great base to explore further. Recommended for whatever weekend you might be after.
