The Cob at Montpelier

The best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. The Cob is a beautiful property, fully equipped, stylishly and tastefully decorated, warm, cosy and quiet. Sitting on the veranda wrapped in warm rugs with a morning coffee watching and listening to the birds is one of the great pleasures of life. The hosts could not have been more helpful or accommodating. The breakfasts were wonderful. Waking up to views over the garden with the leaves turning autumnal colours, just wow! The Cob is secluded but there is plenty to do nearby. We look forward to visiting again soon.

We were absolutely thrilled to try your homemade apple juice squeezed only the day before. The Cob is a truly special place with such character and set amongst beautiful and abundant nature. A truly magical place. Beautiful and tranquil. Simon and Lynn have created a great experience. The chance to sit out on the veranda more or less whatever the weather is special. Lynn and Simon are exceptional hosts.

We had such a lovely weekend in this beautiful place. Simon and Lynn made us feel completely at home in their stunning B&B and ensured we had everything we needed for the duration of our stay, we couldn't have asked for better hosts. The Cob is extremely cosy and clean, well-furnished and the wood burner was great. Breakfast choice was fantastic and having this on the veranda each morning was a perfect way to start the day surrounded by nature. It is such a great location for many lovely walks, activities and various country pubs - a must stay for anyone visiting this area to relax and unwind.
