The Experience
A wonderfully unspoilt place for a bucket-and-spade holiday, and terrific value too. A few steps lead down to a cheerful apartment on the ground floor of a Victorian seafront home with its own private entrance. The friendly owners and family are on hand should you need anything.
It’s all on one level so really easy for families with little ones, and you’ll find absolutely everything you might need, from cots and highchairs to changing mats and plastic plates. You’re across the road from the beach so pack up all your stuff and spend the day having watery fun or walk 10 minutes to the high street (pubs, shops) and the pier where you’ll find gourmet food.
A small courtyard back garden is yours (perfect for a barbecue on sunny evenings) and there’s a useful covered area by the front door for stowing wetsuits, bodyboards and sandy gear. On rainy days you shouldn’t feel too much on top of each other – there’s space to spread out and plenty of books, toys and games for children. There are also castles to visit and boat trips to join.

We loved the property which is spacious, luxurious and beautifully and thoughtfully decorated - think seaside luxe. We found the property to be full of useful essentials for cooking ... including children's facilities... and plenty of games to keep the little ones entertained... The property is 7 minutes walk to the High Street where one can find just about anything, from fresh seafood to ... boutique shops and fantastic cafés and restaurants. Molly was a dream hostess, always in touch and with a fantastically friendly manner. We will definitely visit again, thank you!

Had a wonderful few days at this beautiful apartment with it's gorgeous interior, lovely rear patio and a stones throw from Deal centre. Molly was the perfect host, on hand if we needed and clear communication throughout the booking process. The apartment is fitted with everything you will need , including games, books and dvd's if the weather turns. Hope to return one day.... xxxx

I think this was our fourth or fifth stay at 49, The Marina over several years and I am delighted to report that Deal is as lovely as ever and the property was even better than we remembered. The owners have done some work on the garden area to increase its size; and the number of games, books and DVDs for guests’ use has increased - quite handy for our 8 and 10 year olds. The property has complimentary wi-fi which we made use of and a well stocked kitchen which we also used extensively. As hosts, Molly and Angus have always taken their guests needs seriously and are attentive yet discreet.

Location
The neighbourhood
Deal is a thriving little town with good independent shops. The pier has an excellent new restaurant/cafe at the end of it specialising in brunches; fun to eat here whatever the weather as you're surrounded by sea and with a grand view back towards the town. Wander in on a Saturday for the bustling market. You're so close to France you can see the coast on a clear day.
Local points of interest from Molly Bradley
- Deal's beach has been ranked number one in the Telegraph's "ten top spots to lay your beach towel". We couldn't agree more and its right outside!
- Great fishing, and if you're not lucky the local fish and chip shop will deliver straight to the beach!
- Deal's Saturday Market has a lovely mix of fresh local produce, antiques, flowers, gifts and a wide range of delicious food stalls to try and choose between, it even boasts its own al fresco wine bar.
- Deal has won 'High Street of the Year', and hosts an abundance of cafes, bars and and restaurants as well as masses of lovely independent shops all within walking distance.
- A number of English heritage sites nearby, including two 16th Century castles just a sea side stroll away.
- 3.5 Miles to the British Golf Open course at Royal St Georges.

Introducing
Molly Bradley
Molly, charming, bright and smiley, lives nearby with her husband Angus and family. There's a key pad to let yourself in and Molly leaves lots of information about all things local, where to eat and where to walk.
5 of us stayed here for a wonderful sunny week in August. Great beach front location with free on-street parking and only a short walk into town. The flat is all on one level which was much appreciated by my elderly parents. It has comfy beds and all the essentials are provided. We would definitely consider staying here again.
