The
Experience

Silver tea and coffee pots and Portmeirion china, pictures and prints from far-flung places, and an unexpected peace in the centre of the city – welcome to Gothic House. The building is listed and Regency and your host, enthusiastic, charming, knows the history. As for breakfast, it is fresh, lavish and locally sourced; in short, a treat. Bedrooms are stylish and spacious with a strong period feel, the double and the two bathrooms on the first floor, and the twin above. Norwich is blessed with culture, character and pubs, and a cathedral with the second tallest spire in England. Fabulous!

Reviews

Glorious house, just so very beautiful. Clive is the perfect host, kind and welcoming, and he cooks the BEST breakfasts. Khmr the cat is a delightful co-host. Perfect spot, right at the heart of all the best little shops and streets of Norwich. Heaven!

Sarah, Bath

An immensely characterful and comfortable experience, in a house which is ideally located for exploring Norwich. First class breakfast, and interesting and knowledgeable hosts. Thoroughly recommended!

Michael, Bath

Very good welcome. Beautiful rooms and environment. Parking on site. Shower room warm. Breakfast as we liked them served with care. Host good at local information. Enough books for a stay of about a year. Friendly cat too. thanks Clive.

Joy, Thrapston

Utterly charming, wonderful attention to detail: fruit and sherry in bedrooms along with real coffee. Superb breakfast and run by a real character. Long may he do so!
