Findara Cottage

We had a great stay at Findara. Lovely cottage to stay in with great decor. Situated in a peaceful location with a secure garden that our dogs could run around in. Lydia gave us some good recommendations for places to visit and eat. Would recommend to stay here.

We had a perfect stay at Findara, it was peaceful, spacious and beautifully decorated. The kids loved it and didn't want to come home. We loved the open plan kitchen, living area where we could all be together but doing different things. The kids loved playing in the garden. It had everything we needed for our family of 6. Including extra bits all ready for our baby. We cant wait to go back!

Lydia greeted us on arrival at Findara Cottage and showed us round what can only be described as a luxurious, spacious and bright living space. It was very well equipped, with extremely comfortable bed. Lydia left us a wonderful breakfast hamper. We had a relaxing stay in the most tranquil surroundings. Would highly recommend, and look forward to staying there again!

We had a fantastic stay, the home is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and recommendations from the host guidebook and many Northumberland books throughout the home. Arthur and Lydia are wonderful hosts and the welcome basket was a lovely touch!

What an absolute treat. A week away in a lovely part of UK and a stay in a most comfortable house. The setting was absolutely beautiful with views to stir the soul. The rooms were excellently appointed; luxurious without being pretentious. Our hostess had provided a lovely welcome pack which was most appreciated after a long journey. Although we felt, due to the peace and quiet, that we were miles from anybody, we were only minutes from trunk roads, so everything was easily accessible. We can't wait to make a return stay.

A very spacious, airy, beautifully decorated cottage with a warm and welcoming feeling – and two extremely friendly and caring hosts. I felt totally relaxed as soon as I walked in and wished I could have stayed longer!

We had a great stay for a 5 days during half term. The accommodation was very clean, extremely high quality and had everything you might need. Lydia was a fantastic host, our car broke down on day one of our visit and wasn't repaired for a couple of days, Lydia was very kind in picking up some supplies for us. It's a very private location with lovely scenery but a short drive to lots of attractions. Would stay again without a doubt. Thank you.
