The Experience

A hugely convenient, and pleasing spot from which to explore glorious Frome. The walled garden and the lovely views belie the fact you’re just a short walk from the bustle of town, and the peace is deep. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, a king-size with an en suite shower, and a single with its own bathroom. Both are attractive with fabrics from Robert Kime and Colefax and Fowler, fragrant Somerset soaps, well-dressed beds.

You can enjoy a continental breakfast out on the terrace when it’s balmy, or a full English with sausages and bacon from the excellent butcher down the road. On foul weather days you can hunker in front of the fire with a good book, or plan your next outing.

Feel free to wander the garden – surprisingly secluded and filled with Skye’s homegrown veg and cutting flowers in season. Find a peaceful seat and listen to church bells and birdsong, or walk into town for interesting independent shops.

Reviews

What a charming place this is! Full of character and with such a warm, homely feel, this beautiful house is a real gem in the heart of Frome. The bedrooms are lovely, with pretty fabrics and thoughtful touches that make you feel instantly at home. Breakfast is a treat, with delicious local produce, and the beautiful walled garden is a wonderfully peaceful spot to sit back and unwind. Perfectly placed for exploring Frome’s independent shops, music venues, and creative hubs, yet wonderfully tucked away from the bustle.
