The Experience

The Renwicks are tremendous hosts. Their wonderful flagstone-halled farmhouse in the South Downs National Park is great for walkers and cyclists and you get your own guest sitting room for planning your next adventure. Amanda gives you generous breakfasts: muesli, Greek yogurt and fruit, bacon and sausages from the local butcher, eggs from their own chickens, jams and honey. You eat in the back kitchen by the wood-burner with comfy sofas, or in the garden.

You’re just a short hop from two excellent pubs, and Chichester is an 8-minute drive for endless restaurants, but if you can’t be bothered to get in the car then you can use a simple space to prepare your own food – hurrah! You’ll also sometimes find a treat waiting, like shortbread or a slice of homemade cake. Bedrooms are comfortable with wool duvets, silk-filled pillows and garden flowers.

An excellent B&B: super hospitality throughout from Amanda - really very helpful indeed. A great bedroom, bathroom and sitting-room, and a wonderful location in the South Downs. Very dog-friendly too. Delicious (and huge!) breakfast. Very well placed for exploring the Downs and South Coast, with many good pubs nearby. Highly recommended.

Thanks again Amanda for having us at your heavenly farmhouse. The rooms were all so spacious and beautifully done with lots of light and lovely attention to detail. Our four poster bed, the huge walk-in shower and the giant bubble bath bottle all added the ‘wow’ factor! Your breakfast was amazing with so many options and everything was very yummy! Your dogs (especially Sprout) were an added bonus for us and made our stay extra special for the children. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer and we’ll definitely be recommending you.

What a wonderful place to stay! Completely private suite of rooms, massive bathroom with great shower, comfortable bed, beautifully furnished, everything supplied, nothing too much trouble. Tea, coffee etc with fresh milk every time, wonderful breakfast and fabulous hospitality. Great garden to sit in. What's not to like? Thank you SO much.

Really excellent - Amanda, family and dogs were so welcoming - they could not have done more. We stayed in a beautiful room, with views of the garden. Bathroom palatial! Amanda was a wonderful hostess - nothing was too much trouble - and her breakfasts were to die for. Highly recommend Crows Hall Farm - well placed and within easy reach by car of lots of interesting places to relax, eat, visit...

You're in the heart of the beautiful West Sussex countryside, with a view of Kingly Vale - a nature reserve famous for its ancient trees. West Witterings' Sandy Beach is just 20 minutes away, perfect for a walk along its wild shoreline or a morning coffee at the Boulevard Cafe
The historic market town of Chichester is 5 minutes away with its wide variety of shops and restaurants. Chichester Festival Theatre is renowned nationally for its annual Summer Festival
There are two award-winning country pubs less than 5 minutes' drive away

Amanda Renwick

Amanda has lived on the farm for 25 years with husband Peter, a third-generation farmer. They have three sons together and the farm will be handed down to their eldest, Sam, who is already working there. The family are hugely warm and welcoming, and they have a friendly, quiet dog who you may meet too.
