The Crofter's House

From the subtle design of the home, to the wandering sheep in the yard, to the simple walk to the shore with the most breathtaking view of the stars… Crofter’s house was absolutely incredible and set the perfect tone for our stay on Skye.

I can’t imagine there’s anywhere more beautiful or stylish to stay on Skye. We had the happiest time in front of the fire morning and night. The house is a short walk to an almost deserted cove full of curious seals who pop up their heads to say hello. It’s a perfect base for exploring Skye, the only issue is that you’ll never want to leave the house! Can not recommend this place enough. If you find it free for your dates – book it quick. This cottage couldn’t be more perfect - it has everything you need and is the most wonderful base to settle after a day facing the elements in Skye. We are already trying to work out when we can return!

We truly loved our stay at this cozy cottage. The Crofter‘s House and its picturesque village have been the perfect home for us to explore this beautiful island. The communication with Sarah was warm & fast. We can highly recommend this special place.

This is such a beautiful cottage, really minimal and gorgeous (hard to find in Skye as so many properties are a bit dated!) The heaters keep it cosy and the bed is wildly comfortable. Loved lying there listening to the rain on the window. Pack your own supplies as there is nothing - no tea or coffee or milk etc - and also be prepared for a slightly tricky reverse park into the parking space.... But it’s in a wonderfully quiet location, really peaceful..... We enjoyed swimming in the bay just down the road from the house, and walking up Ben Tianavaig.... The perfect base to explore Skye.
