Craigellie House

We had a wonderful holiday with Liz and Charles. Craigellie House is stunning and everything was as described. Liz was so helpful with information about places to visit and her breakfasts were delicious. We look forward to returning!

Craigellie House is a peaceful gem tucked away in the countryside, surrounded by woods and lovely walking paths. It's close to both Dundee and Perth, yet the local area itself offers plenty, great trails and cycling routes. Our stay at Craigellie House was thoroughly enjoyable. Liz and Charlie are outstanding hosts, and their home is beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated. Liz’s cooking deserves a special mention, every meal was delicious and made our experience even more memorable. The peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal retreat, perfect for more than just a weekend escape.

As a regular used of Sawdays recommendations, Graigellie House was one of the best B&B's we have stayed in. From the warm welcome by Liz and her husband who insisted on portering our heavy bags to the tastefully furnished bedroom and exceptional modern bathroom, first impressions were very good. Add to this the quality of the food and attentive service and we were all set for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Alyth proved to be a good central location for visiting the many castles and historic houses in the region as well as the coast from Stonehaven to Carnoustie.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at Craigellie. Everything was of such a high standard and very comfortable and relaxing. The rooms are just beautiful, and the Old Billiards Room living space worked perfectly for us as two couples. Importantly, each of one us was made to feel very welcome. We particularly enjoyed the delicious dinner, and in hindsight wish we had booked for each evening of our stay. Utmost credit to Liz, Charles and their team.
