Craigellie House

I am rarely comfortable when I go away: duvets are too hot, windows don't open, things are a bit grubby. Craigellie was a rare and happy exception. Liz really knows how to make her guests comfortable. Everything was sparkling clean, bright and pleasant. She dug out some blankets for me, and took the secondary glazing down so I could sleep in a fresh room. Wonderful food. Beautiful walks in the area. Can't wait to go back.

This is a lovely place to visit. We stayed 6 nights and were treated as house guests throughout. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and the room very well appointed. 'Our' sitting room was a delight with the log fire blazing. We were often tempted to stay and read or plan our next day in great comfort. Breakfasts, with as much choice as you could possibly require, were splendid. Liz's attention to detail, and Charlie's extensive local, and not so local, knowledge of the countryside and of walks made the visit truly memorable.

Previous glowing reviews are spot on - this is a special place to stay. Lovely hosts, accomodation and food. Liz goes above and beyond to ensure that guests enjoy their stay. Very happy to recommend.

Probably the best B&B we have experienced out of many other Sawday ones we have used over the years. We stayed 5 nights and were sad to leave. This is a beautiful place in a glorious part of Scotland. We felt utterly pampered throughout, loving Liz's attention to detail and of course her cooking. Everything was faultless, down to linen table napkins, clean every day, the table always beautifully set and food cooked especially for us (to order of course). The room was very comfortable, quiet and well-appointed in every detail (it's the details that count!).
