Nantcol

Our 4th visit to Nantcol has come to a close, but as always we have had a magical time in this wonderful house. The children ran free over the fields and hills, paddled in the streams and had boundless fun exploring all the nooks and crannies in this very special place. Thank you John and Stephanie for sharing your slice of paradise with us again.

Thank you so much for the rental of your cottage in July. We had the most wonderful time in such a special place and made some great memories. I have written in the visitors book but wanted to write to you directly to thank you for entrusting your cottage to us. It was our first proper family summer holiday and it was just as good as I could have imagined. Maybe more!

I returned to Nantcol with my grandchildren for the first time since the 1950s. I had such fond memories of this delightful Welsh longhouse that the Grants have lovingly cared for over the past 70 years and it was just as I remembered with some mod cons including a luxury electric Aga in the kitchen. Wonderful beds. I had memories of a caste iron roll top bath-still there but now replaced with an acrylic roll top. The views remain the same and are breathtaking. What a heavenly peaceful place in this topsy turvey world. Thank you Grants for keeping Nantcol so special.

We have had the pleasure of staying in this special place several times now. It has become a retreat for the whole family when we need to escape city life and make time to appreciate the beauty of the natural world around us. Our children love the adventure of getting there up the mountain road and we all love the sense of freedom and peace that just emanates from the house and the setting it sits in. It's not a place for the faint hearted or for people who need the heating on high at all times ....but for us it's one of the finest places we've found.
