The Experience
Up a woodland lane to this 19th-century group of warm stone buildings. In the barn, there are three gîtes, each with its own private space outdoors for dining or a barbecue. A pretty path leads to a sunny shared pool with plenty of loungers and countryside views. Indoors you’ll find attractive beams, simple lines and big windows giving a light, airy feel. There are books to read, TV with French and UK channels, strong WiFi.
Bedrooms are roomy, beds are hand-forged wrought iron, bathrooms have sumptuous freestanding baths or large showers. Cooks will enjoy the convenient layout of the kitchens with all the right kit, a big fridge, proper coffee machine and dishwasher. You’re left fresh pastries from the bakery as well as local meats and cheese – it’s a generous place.
Visit local markets to pick up the freshest food, head to local lakes for swimming and water sports, discover vineyards to taste and buy delicious wines. Glorious France!
