The Experience

You’re greeted by the owners and shown around – this is a very personal experience and will suit sociable souls. You’ll find home-baked biscuits and small seating areas in your themed bedroom – one on the ground, the others on the second or third floor, all with a sparkling shower room. The front entrance is a shared sitting room with sofas and armchairs – here you’ll find the honesty bar with local beer and fruit juice. There’s a sheltered outdoor area too for games of ping-pong.

Breakfast is a feast: bread and pastries from the nearby bakery, local organic jams, homemade organic yogurts and crêpes, Breton granola, hams and salamis, coffee from Maison Reux, delicious chocolat chaud. You can order dinner (outside of the summer months) on nights when the village restaurant is closed.

The garden is a gorgeous place to be on a sunny day with a big lawn, picnic benches, mature trees and a good-sized pool for proper lengths.

Reviews

Simply the best! The website indicated that we would be staying in a property of character, tradition and interest. On arrival we discovered there was so much more on offer. Anthony and Youmna are excellent hosts with an eye for detail that added a "Wow factor". The room, and entire property, was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The bedding and towels epitomised quality. Breakfast was a combination of home cooked food and local organic produce. We hope to go back for a longer stay in the future. Excellent in every respect!

Keith, Exmouth

The moment you meet Youmna and Anthony you'll want to stay for longer than you planned: they've created a space that balances nostalgic touches with high-quality modern comforts, so it's stylish yet homely and inviting. Swap stories with other guests over breakfast, explore the coast or stroll to the village: this former school gets top marks for its convivial comfort that you're sure to cherish.

Location

The neighbourhood

You're in the heart of the village which has a bar, bakery, supermarket and banks as well as a restaurant – not always open so do check. There's a lake nearby which you can walk around, some lovely local coastal towns like Binic, super for a wander around the harbour and a lunch overlooking the water. You're halfway between Rennes and Brest, also Roscoff and Saint-Malo ferry ports.

Introducing

Youmna & Anthony Rakotondrazaka

Youmna and Anthony both worked in luxury hotels for many years. They are very warm and genuinely care about looking after their guests, having taken everything they've jointly learned about the industry and applied it to their own B&B. You'll be well looked after and well fed.
