A contemporary elegance reigns with gentle colours and pretty antiques. A gracious home run by charming Natalie - with pool

5 rooms

Rooms sleep 2 – 3

Embraced by rolling lawns, wooded parkland and sweeping drive, this manor house seems untouched by the 21st century. Light airy pools of calm – high ceilings, tall windows, polished boards – are furnished with a contemporary elegance while plain walls, beams and tomette floors have been allowed to glow. Beautiful bedrooms have soothing colours, pretty antiques, delicious soaps, beams in some and sloping ceilings; the suite has a vast bathroom and its own salon. Breakfast handsomely at the convivial table, then explore Dinan, St Brieuc, the coast. Return for a dip in the new summer pool. Charming Nathalie oversees all.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 8 day stay in this haven of tranquility. Its beautiful, pristine rooms, their decor and furnishings, the exquisite breakfasts and the warm hospitality of Nathalie make this the perfect place to stay when touring the Emerald coast. It is only one hour away from St Malo and in close proximity to other beaches and medieval cities. No shortage of places to explore. Thoroughly recommend. We hope to return. And

We stayed here for a night on our way back to the ferry and had a wonderful experience. Nathalie is a delightful host, we had a warm welcome and were shown to our beautiful room in this fabulous old manor house. We had a very comfortable and peaceful night, but the real tour de force was the breakfast in the morning: a magnificent spread of cereal, bread, cheese, croissants, pain au chocolat, fruit salad, home made jams, local honey, cake and more.......... Whether like us you just have one night, or have longer to stay we would really recommend staying at the Manoir de la Villeneuve!

What a wonderful place to stay, Nathalie is the most amazing host and nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely return.

Tina, Gravesend

The beautiful house is a perfect retreat in the countryside. We stayed in the lovely Garden room, an annex to the side of the main house, with direct access to the garden. It was perfectly decorated in dove greys with crisp linen sheets and pretty details.A very elegant design, with wonderful roll top bath. Breakfast was great too. The main drawing room felt grand, with a delicious spread welcoming table. We will certainly stay again.

The Manior is beautifully and carefully restored to its former glory with all the conveniences of a modern world. The real treasure of the house is its host, Nathalie, who is kind, gracious and most welcoming. She oversees this vast property with efficient ease and always has time to suggest what to see and do in the area. Her knowledge of the best places to go is broad and varied and always to perfection. Her expansive breakfasts are a delight with fresh breads, local cheeses and yogurt and her special recipe crepes that require a half portion of corn meal for a taste treat. A Breton best!
