Gîte Le Saltre

We had a wonderful 10-day stay at Gîte Le Saltre this July. The gîte is beautifully decorated, comfortable and equipped with everything you could need, including air conditioning for the hottest days. The views from the terrace are stunning and we loved having a leisurely breakfast or evening meals while taking in the scenery. The pool is equally lovely, with beautiful views across the valley. We also enjoyed exploring the area and visiting local wineries. Above all, Penny and Patrick were warm, welcoming and helpful. A truly special place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended.

My wife and I plus our son and his girlfriend have just returned from a magical week staying in Le Saltre. Penny and Patrick are a delightful couple who are amazing hosts and manage the perfect balance of being inobtrusive but incredibly helpful if required and we struck up a good friendship during our time together. The gite is stunning, spotless and beautifully fitted out in contemporary style with very effective A/C and comfortable beds. The pool has wonderful views over the sunflower fields and beautiful rolling countryside and there is no better place for a sundowner! We shall be back!

In the middle of a heatwave the gite was deliciously cool and extremely comfortable - an oasis. Recently built, it has all the mod cons and our hosts could not have been more generous & helpful. The nearby village of Montcuq has all that you need, including your hosts restaurant, and try the lunch salads at the golf club, just up the road, that are accompanied by George, the very entertaining owner. Our visit to the Gouffre de Padirac was definitely worth the drive. A great stop on our travels around France.

Stunning setting with a fabulous view. We ate every meal outside but during the occasional storm could still be outside under the protection of the generous canopy. Penny and Patrick are wonderful hosts, warm, welcoming and extremely generous welcome breakfast, wine etc. We felt at home immediately and whenever we needed anything they were attentive and responsive. The swimming pool is an absolute dream. Five stars all round. Thank you Penny and Patrick for a very special vacation.

What a wonderful place to stay. The gite is very well equipped, with a lovely swimming pool in beautiful surroundings. It was perfect sitting on the terrace overlooking the stunning countryside. And so quiet. Only the owls and cicadas could be heard at dusk. We had a wonderful holiday here and would recommend it to everyone.
