The
Experience

A fresh modern house under a steep slate roof in a lush green sanctuary; it could not be more tranquil. The garden really is lovely and worth a wander – a tailored lawn, a mass of colour, huge banks of rhododendrons for which the village is renowned (three of its gardens are open to the public). Claudine runs home and B&B with effortless efficiency and gives you homemade brioches for breakfast; smiling Remi leads you to guest quarters in a freshly wood-clad house reached via stepping stones through the laurels. Bedrooms are comfortable, sunny, spotless, shining and utterly peaceful – two are big enough to lounge in.

Reviews

If you like gardens and flowers a great place to stay. Bois de Moutiers and Shamrock Gardens are close by and there are lots of places to eat. Friendly and helpful owners. I left with tips on growing hydrangeas and cuttings. a good place to visit.

Jocelyn, Stockport

This is a wonderful place run by a charming owner, Claudine. Try and visit when garden is in bloom. Ask for a map, we got lost.
