The Experience
A statement of a house, built in the 1920’s for a magnate of the local tap industry. Owners Antoine and Charlotte have stayed true to the opulence of the period with original tiled floors and an elegant brass covered fireplace and lacquered honesty bar in the sitting room.
Stylish bedrooms have views over the mature gardens; en suite bathrooms sparkle, one with a stunning period bath worthy of a movie set, the rest with brand new showers. Breakfast on freshly brewed coffee, bread and pastries, local cheeses and fresh fruit served in the grand breakfast room. The separate gite has a useful little kitchen and some basics for whipping up a simple supper.
It’s a short drive to charming Ault, with its stunning cliffs, seafood restaurants and water sports. Or spend a quiet afternoon at the manor, swim a length or two in the pool (heated in season), take your time over a game of pétanque or have a quiet time with a book in the cosy lounge.
