The Experience
Provided you’re happy to climb to the third floor, Junior Suite is perfect on every score. Light pours in through tall windows, the bedroom faces a tiny street (traffic? You can barely hear it), the detailing is tip-top and everything’s folded, fluffed or shining. At 40m2, this flat is not large but it’s cleverly laid out and as homely as can be. Off a tiny hall is the living room – no sofa but comfy chairs at the dining table, and a fridge-and-microwave kitchenette – a small bathroom to the right and a delightful bedroom to the left. Beds (made up as a queen or two twins) are topped with feather pillows and lovely linen, there’s a large TV and books galore – including some fascinating old travel journals – a polished pine floor that has aged gracefully, and some elegant oriental antiques. Welcoming you with bathrobes, kimonos, extra towels, umbrellas, croissants and a bottle of wine is Belgian-born Catherine, generous, well-travelled and living on the fourth floor. She knows all the places to go, from restaurants and delis to Notre Dame and the Jardin des Plantes, two minutes away.

I am so glad that we booked with Catherine; my daughter and grand-daughter shared the room downstairs, and Catherine graciously offered her bed upstairs. Everything was perfect, comfy beds, hot water, great breakfasts(my grand-daughter will talk about the pain au chocolat forever, I am sure)..great location, and amazing hospitality. With the bus and metro steps from the building, there wasn't any place we couldn't reach easily. Catherine could not do enough for us - it was a great holiday. Merci bien, Catherine xx

We loved staying in this comfortable apartment. It made us feel as if we were really living in Paris, not just staying in a hotel. Fantastic location near transit, and easy walking distance to several attractions. Catherine was a very welcoming hostess, having maps and local information ready upon our arrival. Would definitely recommend this as a “ must stay “!

Staying at Catherine's apartment was, for us, living a cool version of the French "art de vivre". This very well decorated apartment is the perfect Parisian "pied-à-terre", both for its centralized location and its warm, homely atmosphere. This was our 2nd stay and it was just as magical as the first. Merci Catherine et au plaisir! Paul et Régent

Local points of interest from Catherine le Guay
- This charming Parisian AC flat is situated in the heart of Paris. Two minutes walk away from The Botanical Garden, Notre Dame, the Quais de Seine and their famous Bouquinistes.Within walking distance wonderful open market the Rue Mouffetard ,Maubert,Monge
- This calm sunny flat is located on the third floor WITHOUT a lift.with AC,.The flat consists of 2 rooms, one large bedroom, with 1 queen bed, with 1 large duvet or 2 single duvets, radio TV set. In the small living , you will have your breakfast
- The flat is filled with beautiful pictures and books; and most importantly a collection of very rare and original photo albums about my Grand Father travels around the world in 1895. As well plenty of Paris Guides, Maps.
- The flat with air conditioning, WI FI, is very light and sunny, as it is full of windows that give a cross light onto the courtyard on one side and on a calm street on the other. This is a very animated area during the day and quiet in the evening,
- Down the street from the flat are fabulous little french bistrots and cafe that remain full of life until late at night. As well you will have the open air market for food everyday except Mondays The aera is very safe, there is no problem to walk at night
- As I live on the premise I will be glad to welcome you in my own flat at anytime. I will give you a detailed map of the area with my favorites restaurants , bakeries etc..and if you need anything during your stay I will be glad to help.

We loved everything about Catherine's suite, from the red flower boxes, décor to the comfortable bed, bottle of red wine, breakfast items, toiletries, extra towels - she's got it covered. You will not be disappointed. The location was great and within walking distance to Paris sights. Her map was informative providing tips on restaurants, open markets, and boulangerie. The food at Kokoro restaurant was excellent and cheese at Dubois Place Maubert was the best. We almost felt like locals. We plan to stay here again on our next trip to Paris.
