Roaring Water Bay

The cottage is beautiful. Full of books and art and good feelings. The gardens are wild and enchanting and West Cork is absolutely stunning. Johnny is a charming and helpful host. This was one of those unforgettable holidays.

We stayed in the pink cottage for 3 nights, it’s a little outside he town of ballydehob so a car is essential. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable, our little dog loved exploring and the peace of the countryside was so relaxing. We will be back to visit again.

A fantastic magical place - so peaceful and quiet - Johnny was an excellent host - this place is very homely - full of interesting curios and curiosities - lots of lovely walks around and super garden with zip wire

I can only imagine how wonderful this place must be in the summer months, but I can certainly testify to how perfect the place is to spend a wet, wintry weekend in. I can think of nowhere nicer to snuggle up at a roaring fire, surrounded by literally HUNDREDS of books, with a deep, clawfoot bath awaiting in the large ensuite bathroom. This spacious cottage is cosy and full of character, while having all the mod-cons available also. A remote spot, it is comforting to have the owner, Johnny, living close by; the perfect host who was there when needed and seemed to vanish when not. 5 stars.
