The Experience
Gabriella and her daughter Lucilla warmly welcome guests to their 16th-century palazzo, which has been in their family for six generations. You can choose to stay in the main house or in two more contemporary properties dotted around the town.
Gather together with other guests for lingering breakfasts and delectable dinners in the palazzo’s courtyard, surrounded by potted lemon trees and fragrant rose and jasmine, or in the vaulted brick dining room. Menus are traditional yet creative and based on seasonal, locally-produced organic food, highlighting Slow Food certified products.
Walk to shops, restaurants and sights. Gabriella can design custom itineraries and activities, including cooking lessons on a rare rainy day. There are rich archaeological sites in the area and sandy beaches half an hour away.

What remains in my memory is the perfumed air upon stepping into the front courtyard, a secret garden laden with rose and jasmine vines, the warm welcome and soft smiles of our hostesses, and the delectable meals so carefully created to surprise the palate. A stay here is a jump into the past, witnessing and participating in the hostess' fierce mission to maintain the values, strong traditions and identity of the island's interior land. An authentic and educational experience.

Location
The neighbourhood
The palazzo is set on a narrow, cobbled street in the historic centre of the medieval town of Santu Lussurgiu, with the other properties close by. The coast and the nearest city, Oristano, are 30 minutes’ drive away; Bosa, with its intriguing pastel-coloured houses, is an hour away. There are many archaeology sites to explore in the area, or you can rent a bike or hike in Sinis-Montiferru Natural Reserve; other activities include horse-riding, fishing, diving, kayaking or bird-watching.
Introducing
Lucilla & Gabriella
Gabriella opened her first B&B many years ago and is one of the pioneers of the Albergo Diffuso concept, where guests stay in different properties in a town and gather together for meals and to immerse themselves in the local culture. Her passion is to share the area's authentic guides, artisans and food and wine producers; her daughter Lucilla looks after you with great cheer.
Wow pretty fabulous. Lovely small medieval town, gorgeous sensitively restored palazzo, perfect al fresco dining courtyard in which to enjoy their extraordinary breakfast banquets and hosts as charming, knowledgeable and helpful as you could hope for. Thank you Lucilla and Gabriella!
