The ancient granite walls, the vaulted wooden ceilings and the antique
furnitures and paintings dominate the interior of Casa da Levada. You will
feel that you have magically travelled back in time. The wonderful outdoor
area, "espigueiros" and garden will enchant you with their views
surrounded by the mountains at the heart of the beautiful and picturesque
hamlet of Travanca do Monte.

Casa da Levada holds charm, history, hospitality and panoramic views in a warm embrace. Maria and Luis are people people; friendly, knowledgeable and discrete. Their home becomes your center of gravity while visiting Northern Portugal. As an artist who stays annually at the 'Casa' this is my favorite and special place to paint or photograph. Go and be charmed.
