The Experience

In the serene hills just outside laidback Deià, this 1980s stone house has glorious views over the tree-studded Tramuntana range and the sparkling Mediterranean. Loll about inside and out, there’s a comfy well-furnished sitting room, a kitchen with space for everyone to cook, as well as two large shady terraces, a palm-fringed garden and a big pool for splashing around.

It’s an easy 2km stroll into Deià; once a hideaway for The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie, it exudes a bohemian air. Packed with shops, cafés and restaurants, you can swim and snorkel in a stunning hidden cove and hang out at Sa Fonda, a hip bar renowned for late nights and live music.

Hike the vast Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, spend the day in lively Palma, discover ravishing sandy beaches. Return for a glass of Vinho Verde, a BBQ on the terrace and deep sleeps in super-comfy bedrooms; plus there’s a guest house for four in the grounds.

Reviews

Wow! Having known many Deia properties over the years, this one really stands out. Peacefully located in its own large, multi level garden with spectacular sea views, stunning pool, terraces, light spacious rooms. A fabulous property for those who want to be together but also have their own space.
