The Experience

Come to this charming two-bedroom whitewashed home on a family olive oil estate for the best of all worlds. Sink into complete peace and serenity, surrounded by nature, or walk 25 minutes into the pretty port town of Alcúdia for excellent tapas and black rice, a local speciality.

When cooking at home, you’ll find basics in the kitchen cupboards along with local wine and homegrown and pressed olive oil. Alternatively, the charming owners can rustle up Fideuá (a type of paella) or a Mallorcan dish of rabbit and prawns with garlic. Dine at the large table indoors or throw open bifold doors to the covered terrace – the star of the show.

Spend your days lounging by the pool (fed by a well) and listening to birds in the trees. Evenings are for stargazing or stretching out by the suspended wood-burner in the beamed sitting room. Tumble into a comfy bed – the master has panoramic views to enjoy while you sip your morning tea in bed.

Reviews

I 100% recommend this property. The owner is lovely and is so proud of what he has created. You can feel it in the stone walls, in the pine-filled warm air, in the fresh water in the pool. As you look across to the bay you feel like you are sitting on your own private throne, drink in hand, surveying all that is yours for those precious few days or weeks when you come on holiday here.

Wow wow wow. What an incredible find. I can't recommend this place enough. Such a stunning house and the view is out of this world. It's so peaceful and picturesque. The house has everything you could ever need on holiday, it's so well equipped and spotless throughout. Every little detail has been thought about. It's a very happy house, we had an amazing week there, so relaxing and close to everything without the hustle and bustle. The host couldn't be more helpful, so kind and full of information about the area. we can't wait to return!

Daniel, Granada

A fantastic experience in a wonderful rural setting with views to the sea, in a house that’s been recently renovated combining rustic and modern styles – everything was very clean and well looked after. It’s in an ideal location near to the most iconic places to visit in the region, in a quiet neighbourhood. I would definitely go back if I were to visit the area again.

Everything you need to make your holiday and unbeatable luxurious experience. Just a stone's throw from the historic town of Alcudia, plenty of charming restaurants and craft shops. With a wonderful private pool and 5 minutes to the sea. A fantastic starting point to get to know the best of Mallorca. No worries about parking and a real oasis of peace. The host, was very friendly and helped us a lot with his advices and recommendations. You won't want to go back home. Simply perfect! Simply perfect.

Location

The neighbourhood

The closest restaurant, La Terraza, is a five-minute walk but go a little further into Alcúdia and head for Can Punyetes, a 20-minute walk, for some of the best tapas on the island – try the meatballs. Then go on to the old town and wander down slender cobbled streets. The honey-coloured buildings are beautifully preserved while down at the modern port there's a bit more glitz plus a white sand beach.

Local points of interest from José Miguel

  • The old walled town of Alcudia has a special charm... getting lost in its streets full of flower pots and old facades is a delight for the senses.
  • beautiful hiking trails in the area: to highlight La penya del mig dia.. or la paya del Coll Baix.
  • Possibility of hiring a local guide to learn more about the history of the town and its inhabitants.
  • Wonderful beaches in the area... from white sand to small rocky coves with transparent water.
  • A golf course with wonderful sea views less than 1 km away.

Txemy and his sister live at the bottom of the hill and are on hand to clean the pool, offer advice and bring you a home-cooked meal. Their father and grandfather built the property in the 70s but they've renovated it recently, adding a snazzy wood-burner and large pool.
