The Experience

Once a grand family home, this lovely old building has been deftly renovated without mislaying any of the history and character. A central courtyard sits in the middle of the square building, sheltered from the wind and perfect for sunny breakfasts or suppers. The whole house is stuffed with beautiful furniture, antiques, good art, elegant chairs and a 200-year-old library full of old and interesting books. Take one to the salon or linger in the dining room.

Bedrooms are on the ground and first floor, one with a private terrace, all fresh and inviting with views through handsome windows to the courtyard or town. There are Nuxe soaps and shampoos in very big bathrooms with windows. Breakfast on freshly-squeezed oranges, fruit smoothies, toast with Iberian ham, goats cheese, avocado, scrambled eggs and home-baked sweet cakes. It’s worth staying in for dinner too – plenty of fresh fish.

Visit the César Manrique museum in town.

Introducing

Jose Antonio Garcia

José was on holiday when he saw the house in ruins and fell in love with it. He has carefully and lovingly restored it to its former grandeur in a modern way, whilst also retaining the character and unique features and characteristics of a historic property. You are looked after by Barbara and a very efficient, cheerful team.
