The Experience
This snug space perched above the sea overlooking St Michael’s Mount will delight you whatever the weather. Bag the sofa and watch the waves crash and the skies go dark in winter; eat breakfast or sip sundowners on the balcony in summer. Although the house is an extension to an adjoining property, it feels nicely private with its own access and long views out to sea.
The sociable kitchen is a joy to work in and you can pick up a haul of fresh fish from Quayside Fish in nearby Porthleven or Newlyn. There are plenty of places to eat out – for pub grub try The Fire Engine or The Godolphin – both are within walking distance.
Blustery walks start on the coastal path to Perranuthnoe beach or Praa Sands. Mooch around the art galleries, boutique shops and cosy pubs in town. The Minack Theatre and St Ives are 30 minutes by car in opposite directions.

It did not take long to decide where we would stay for our week in Cornwall. Bosworgy Bay lived up to its billing. Everything was perfect. Wonderful views out to St. Michaels Mount. Good sized glass screened patio to sit or lie out to catch some rays. Or evening meal in the sun. And inside the 12ft bifold doors was a great open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Comfy sofas and everything you need in a kitchen, even a large wall mirror that you can look at the sea while prepping a meal up. Top quality bed linen and cosy bed. Large bathroom with nice shelving and great shower. What a place. T&S

We spent five nights at Bosworgy over Christmas and, despite the inclement weather, had a wonderful time. Beautiful location, lovely house, and Alessandra was a welcoming and friendly host. Definitely worth a second visit. And the Godolphin Arms, in nearby Marazion, served up an excellent evening meal.

I arrived for a solo break, driving rain and wind obstructing the view, but a warm and cosy welcome! The next morning...the wonderful view, almost enticing one to just remain indoors. Very comfortable place, equipped with all one would need and a terrific location, almost on the coast path, 5 mins to the centre of Marazion. Perfect to be creative, re charge the batteries and leave refreshed. Thank you!

Location
The neighbourhood
Marazion throngs with tourists in the summer but it’s pretty magical year round. Its beach is safe and sandy, St Michaels Mount is worth a visit (you can walk over at low tide) and there are heaps of independent shops to browse. Marazion Marsh Nature Reserve on the outskirts of town is home to a variety of wetland birds – bitterns and warblers, among others, migrate here every year.

- For a mystic moment, tie a ribbon at Madron wishing well and head to see the ancient monument of Lanyon Quoit with Ding Dong mine on the moorland, walk to Men-an-Tol for a Bronze age experience and follow the road to meet Morvah along the heritage coast.
- Discover the coast path from St Ives to Penzance. Enjoy the Cornish Mining heritage, visit St Just & Geevor tin mine in Pendeen with its fabulous museum in the most atmospheric rugged landscape. This is where our great-grandfather was managing director!

Introducing
Alessandra Ausenda
The owners live about a mile away, are there to meet you and will be on hand if you need anything. They are both artists and partner Sean did all the work from design and building to carpentry, electrics and plumbing. The clever design means the high ceilings and huge windows let in the light while the open-plan arrangement makes it feel spacious. Ask about guided art tours – they may offer them in the future.
This is stylish, well designed and beautiful made accommodation. The bed is comfortable, the sofa is squashy, the kitchen is well equipped and the shower room a pleasure, but the star of the show is the view! It is an exceptional place and I’m recommending it to all my friends.
