The Experience
You’ll unwind as soon as you get down the wooded track with views across the valley and glimpses of the river. The cottages are cosy and comfortable with great little kitchens – you can even borrow blenders or food mixers if you want to cook seriously. A welcome pack of apple juice, local biscuits, Nespresso pods and fresh flowers await, as well as a generous supply of logs for open fire or wood-burner.
It’s a 30-minute walk to the local pub, through fields and over small roads, but you can also order home cooked frozen meals, which you just have to heat up. A beautiful two-hour walk through Kilminorth woods will take you to Looe, a sandy beach and plenty of shops and cafés. Pocket maps show you shorter walks around the farm and you can chat to goats and pigs.
Your own enclosed garden has a firepit for chilly evenings, a barbecue and sun loungers. Indoors will be cosy with the fire lit, books and board games.

We enjoyed 7 nights at the delightful "Willow" cottage. We fell in love with it at first sight. Such peaceful surroundings, and the view, oh what a view!! The cottage itself was fully self contained with a fireplace in the cozy, comfortable sitting room, a sun drenched sunroom for dining, a fully equipped kitchen, a charming bedroom with a small sunroom, and a very nice bathroom with tub/shower. The attention to detail was evident in every room, even down to the lovely welcoming tea service with goodies. The pre-ordered dinners were placed in the freezer for our arrival. Delicous.

We spent a very enjoyable week in Hollyhock Cottage! It’s a sweet and cosy little cottage- just perfect for us! We loved the real fire and make good use of it during the winter nights (Netflix was great to have in the evenings too!). We loved the views from the cottage across the farm and Hollyhock has a nice little front and back garden. The cottage was clean and well equipped and we loved the bedroom and bathroom. The farm was ideally located and we enjoyed many walks during our stay, including a nice walk around the farm. All in all, a lovely place to spend a week!

Fabulous place to stay. Cottage was probably the best we have ever stayed in and we would definitely return. Surroundings were glorious and some great walks from the cottage. Dog friendly too which is a bonus. We had a great time watching the sun set whilst in the spa pool which you can book to use in the evenings. Can't wait to go back!

Location
The neighbourhood
There's an outdoor pool in summer, a spa pool all year and treatments, massage or therapy can be organised. You're on a working farm surrounded by fields and woods so walking is superb. Serious hikers can reach Bodmin Moor in 20 minutes or join the South West Coast Path at Looe. Here you can buy a good pasty from The Pasty Shop or opt for The Sardine Factory, or bring a picnic to the sandy beach.
Local points of interest from Holly & Andy Kyte
- Walk through the country lanes to our lovely local village pub, The Plough, for delicious food and local ale and cider. Dogs and children welcome!
- The picturesque fishing town of Looe is just 3 miles away. Stroll through narrow streets and step through ancient tiny doorways into atmospheric restaurants and pubs, take an ice cream to the safe, sandy beach or get your crabbing lines out on the pier.
- A short drive away you can test your nerves at the action-packed Adrenaline Quarry where you can fly over a huge lake on a zip wire, brave the free-fall swing or leap from high platforms into the quarry lake! A brilliant way to keep teenagers entertained.
- Inland from Treworgey you can explore the wild and wonderful Bodmin Moor, where dramatic tors rise above windswept expanses of springy grass, gorse and heather. See the old mine engine houses and meet the wild ponies or go wild swimming in an old quarry.
- Less than 1/2 an hour's drive will bring you to the beautiful town of Lostwithiel, famous for it's array of quirky antiques shops. Meander through the pretty streets and pick up interesting keepsakes from the friendly shopkeepers.
- Boat trips from our local town of Looe include glass-bottomed boats that glide around Looe Island while the skipper entertains you with local folklore, or mackerel fishing trips out to see from which you can bring back your catch for the barbecue.

Introducing
Holly & Andy Kyte
This is a family business and still a working farm. The outbuildings, all in ruins when Linda and Bevis bought the farm over 40 years ago, have slowly been converted into cottages. Daughter Holly is front of house now with her husband Andy, but Linda is still Head Gardener and Bevis runs the farm. One of their aunts does the home cooked food and cousins help out too. You're well looked after.
We had a wonderful Autumnal week in the cosy Hollyhock with our 18-month-old and our 3 year old labradoodle. Amazing facilities for all– a first riding lesson, feeding the animals and playing in the many different areas around Treworgey for our son and Otto the dog loved the dog paddock, walks on the farm and tolerated a long overdue shower in the onsite dog spa! We also managed to fit in some glorious (empty) beach days, a trip to the Eden project (thanks to Carolyn for dogsitting) and a visit to The Coddy Shack for delicious fish and chips. We’ll be back!
