- The walking. From gentle strolls down to and along the river, to energetic hikes up some of the Pennine fells, or heading to the Lakes for something even higher
- Joining in with some of the activities on the estate, like archery, clay pigeon shooting and paddle boarding at The Outpost activity centre. Wellbeing sessions are planned
- Stocking up in Penrith, hunting for antiques and books as well as good local food

- There is another holiday cottage next door, separated by a picket fence and a gravel walkway
- Upstairs bedrooms may prove tricky for some
Sala Cottage offers a delightful combination of historic features with comfort and contemporary art and decoration. There is space to relax indoors, with lovely views onto the lake and wider estate. On a summer evening there is no better place to be than soaking in the hot tub listening to the birdsong.
