Upper Crumble

We had a wonderful stay at Crumble Cottages this weekend. The cottage was incredibly cosy, perfect for a pre-Christmas getaway, and the log-burning stove was ready to light on arrival. It’s an easy walk into Cartmel with great pubs, shops, and of course the famous sticky toffee pudding. The welcome pack and chilled bottle were lovely touches, and we were lucky the wreath-making workshop was running which was a fantastic experience. We booked both cottages to enjoy the large hot tub, and clear skies made stargazing amazing. A fantastic stay—we’ll definitely return.

We had the pleasure of staying in Upper Crumble, Crumble Cottages. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the hot tub which was super toasty and private with a great view. The walk to Cartmel was only just over a mile and the village was great. Don’t forget your torches though! We sat in the hot tub and listened to owls and watched the stars. Perfect. Hosts S&S were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Would recommend for sure.

Just returned from a 6 night New year break, WOW WOW WOW, what a stunning cottage, my wife and I stayed in Upper Crumble cottage, it was spotlessly clean, had everything needed for a proper relax, had amazing views, oh and a fabulous hot tub again with great views. You are a 20 minute walk into Cartmel which is a lovely little village. Our hosts Stewart and Sarah were just the best, so friendly and helpful, a little visit on New year's eve was a wonderful touch. We will definitely return again this year without doubt. This was the most relaxing UK break we have ever had.

Cartmel and Upper Crumble captured our hearts. The cottage was lovely and perfectly restored. The gardens - stunning. Our side yard was a hidden escape. We loved hiking from our doorstep and walking down the lane to Cartmel. Stewart provided us with several great hiking suggestions and Sarah gave us a tour of the gardens. We loved our stay and meeting Stewart and Sarah a fun, fascinating, witty and genuinely caring couple.
