The Experience

This is just the right size for two. Downstairs is a kitchen with all you need to cook up a storm and Portmeirion Sophie Conran pottery to serve it up on. You’re also left some Ashbourne traditional gingerbread biscuits and a box of popcorn so you can settle into a movie in the sitting room – or in the dining area. The huge TV can be swivelled between the two rooms and offers every digital channel available plus you can play your own music on it.

The Italian designer lighting is well thought-out and each piece of modern furniture has been carefully chosen to blend with the lovely original stonework or pretty brickwork in the kitchen, there’s even a little separate study area for anybody who needs to work. After a day walking or cycling in the Peak District you’ll be delighted with the warm downstairs bathroom and walk-in shower.

The bedroom, up in the eaves, has a king size bed with cosy fur throws and cushions, very tempting.

Reviews

A hidden gem in the heart of Ashbourne. Impeccably furnished and decorated with style, 46 Church Street is exceptionally clean and equipped to a very high standard. Despite being just off the high street, it’s located within a quiet courtyard enabling a peaceful night’s sleep. Clive and Mari are warm welcoming hosts, with an excellent source of local knowledge. We enjoyed a lovely stay here and can’t wait to return!

Fiona, Lichfield

The property is amazing, beautifully and sympathetically renovated with some superb features. The cottage is spotless and everything has been thought about carefully. It’s in a great location for restaurants, pubs and cafes as well as some superb walking and cycling. Highly recommended!

Matt, Burton-On-Trent

Spend a few days here to feel thoroughly spoilt by the unique and beautiful environment and a sense of design and style that cannot fail to impress. Take Clive and Mari's recommendations on the many places to visit and eat in the vibrant market town of Ashbourne and the stunning Peak District. Hop on a bike and cycle the Tissington Trail right from the doorstep. What's not to love?
