- Getting together with a couple of friends and heading out for wonderful walks - long or short
- Sitting in the garden with a bottle of wine on a sunny evening (or by the fire pit if not) and having sheep, or sometimes cows for company
- Wandering down to The Anglers Rest pub for a pint
You should know
- To get to the cottage you need to cross the owner's garden and pass their front door, but once inside you're facing the other way
- The hill from the road is quite steep in parts
- The cottage is a short trudge from where you park your car
Pack up your troubles and head for the glorious Peak District. This is a
great starting point, a super comfy place to come home to, and owner Alan
can give keen fell climbers, cyclists and walkers all the best local tips about
where to go, and more importantly where not to. Everything is near yet
you'll feel nicely private and remote.

Little Bank is just the perfect cottage! Lou and Al have thought of everything: the place is cute and comfortable, with loads of thoughtful details. They’re lovely warm hosts too. The cottage is brilliantly situated for exploring the Peak District, with pretty much everywhere you could wish to visit within a 25 minute drive (Kinder Scout, Chatsworth and Chrome Hill to name just a few). And if you don’t fancy a drive, there are loads of beautiful walks in the local area too. Very much recommended! We can’t wait to go back.
