Appledore is a sweet little town in a wonderful situation on the great estuary of the rivers Taw and Torridge. The view of the estuary is delightful at whatever state of the tide and the town provides pubs, cafes, terrific fish and chips and a very good store and delicatessen. Cornwallis is charming, comfortable and well equipped and the host is most attentive and prompt in all communications.
