Fursdon Cottage

A beautiful location, deep in the countryside but only half an hour from Exeter. Fursdon Cottage is roomy and furnished and decorated with great style. The charming owners have equipped it with everything you might want. Nothing is too much trouble for the estate staff.

We have had the pleasure to stay at the lovely cottage this summer. First the cottage itself; it is simply lovely! With 4 adults and a 4 year old it was spacious enough to be able to do our own thing, even when it was raining and we all had to stay inside. Very clean, well equiped and of course a lovely setting. The weather wasn't really great during our stay but we still enjoyed the scenery. The view from the cottage is just amazing. Rain or sun, both are good, the green hills are simply stunning either way!

Fursdon cottage was brilliant, we have stayed there a number of times before and always enjoyed our stay. The cottage is always very clean, well presented and welcoming, and Becky and the team are enormously helpful. There are beautiful views and the cottage is close enough to Exeter while also being able to enjoy rural Devon. The flapjacks, apple juice and flowers on arrival were a wonderful treat! We would definitely stay again

We have absolutely loved our 3 nights here and don’t want to leave! Everything is just lovely! We had the fire going every day and played the board games with the speaker provided playing music – great to have that! We walked up to Cadbury castle which was very muddy, so to have the large utility room to take muddy boots off was great! Lila the springer also enjoyed the garden. We met my parents, who live locally, at the Beer Engine and the Fisherman’s Cot for lunches. And they came back for a cuppa and loved the cottage too. All in all, we had such a lovely stay – and we’re coming back!!

Fursdon Cottage has the most wonderful views to wake up to, whether rain or shine. Lovely accommodation, beautiful grounds and a great location. Take a walk to the meadow with a picnic, or just sit under the oak tree and listen to the birds. Huge number of places to visit nearby, and across Devon, and afterwards you’ll have the best night’s sleep ever!

Four of us stayed in this idyllic spot in the hills above the Exe valley for three nights in May. Tucked behind the Fursdon House there is no passing traffic and beautiful views. The cottage has been modernized and we were impressed at the intelligent thought that had gone into every detail, so although there was plenty of charm, it was very comfortable and everything worked well.
