Lose yourself in tiny lanes surrounded by rolling hills – you’re just half a mile from a charming pebble beach. The pub is spacious but cosy with two dining areas, a dedicated guest area for generous breakfasts, the inviting bar with books and games and a private dining room.

There’s a big terrace where you can sip a myriad of beers from St Austell Brewery while you check out the menu, including classics from local ingredients and chef’s specials with the freshest fish. Footpaths lead in all directions along the coast and you can be on Beer’s beach in less than an hour, or enjoying cream teas in the village.

Bedrooms come in all shapes and sizes, some above the bar, others in cottages and there are three suites with private terraces and views across the valley. Some are quieter or quainter than others and if you don’t mind the steps, the rooms on the top level open to a terrace with gorgeous views to the sea. Five rooms don’t require steps at all and one is fully accessible with a wet room.
