The Experience

Delightful staff make you feel welcome with their smiley efficiency. Breakfast is a full English or vegetarian version, fresh pastries, waffles and pancakes, smoked salmon or grilled kippers. Try an elegant afternoon tea too, taken in the restaurant overlooking the walled garden.

Elegant Sherborne is there to delve into and you can walk everywhere. The abbey is stunning and the castle gardens (landscaped by Capability Brown) are inspiring. While away an afternoon browsing independent shops; stop in a café for tea and cake.

Return to a comfortable lounge, sunny morning room with magazines and games and a library for loafing. The walled garden is set in an acre of mature trees and plants; treat yourself to a stay in one of the garden rooms (there are five) and a pampering session in the mini spa.

Reviews

A lovely traditionally decorated and award-winning hotel in the heart of Sherborne, now offering luxury bed & breakfast accommodation. As well as individually stylised rooms and suites (some of which accept dogs), there are three cosy sitting rooms, one of which has a snooker table as well as a beautiful, large garden. The full English or continental breakfast is a treat, as is the mini spa.

Elizabeth, Crawley

Our stay at the Eastbury was probably the most marvellous hotel we’ve ever experienced. The ambience, the staff, the facilities were all incredible. The food was out-of-this-world-superb - the Amuse Bouche was particularly delicious, the bread was gorgeous, the steak so beautifully cooked, I could go on. We felt well pampered in the spa and the potting shed room was breathtaking with its underfloor heating, fire pit and so many other nice touches. I have already recommended the hotel to all of my work colleagues. I would love to come again.

Chris, London

Lovely central hotel. My room was very comfortable and characterful. The bar was atmospheric and well spaced-out. Lovely food in the restaurant to the accompaniment of a piano. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pat, Hertfordshire

We needed to break our journey from Devon to Hertfordshire and booked into The Eastbury. We were greeted by Charlotte the Manager and the great service followed on from there. Comfortable room, great food, just what was needed. The staff were all friendly and efficient. We will return.

Tony, Neath

We extended our stay and were very glad we did, so that we could enjoy more of this delightful haven of peace and quality, set in a walled garden. We stayed in the spacious Eastbury Suite and enjoyed all our meals in the Seasons Restaurant, where food and service were equally matched of high quality. The front of house, housekeeping and restaurant staff were friendly and professional. . We will definitely go back for more
