The Hut

A perfect place for a very much needed break from our busy lives. Thank you Sue & Mark so much for creating this awesome haven! Welcoming, homely, blissful perfection from the incredible handcrafted hut to the breathtaking uninterrupted rolling views. The biggest bonus was the safe garden for a crazy dog and plenty of walks straight from the door. We will be back in the winter to test out cooking on the aga!

We stayed at here for a week and would have wanted to stay forever. It's a very pleasant and well-equipped house in a quiet, rural setting with lovely views. We had beautiful weather, so we used the terrace a lot. There's always a place to find in the sun or the shade.. But would the weather have turned bad, then there would have been a lovely woodburning stove and comfortable seating to make the most of a relaxed day in. Its strategical location for daytrips to Lyme Regis, Devon etc. is superb. The hosts are very nice folks and they, the house and garden are very dog-friendly. We'll be back!

We loved the photos and description of the Hut on the Sawday's website, and the reality did not disappoint! We travelled from Australia to check out the Dorset countryside and Jurassic Coast, and had the most wonderful base from which to do it. It was a pleasure to stay in Mark and Sue's special place, and they made us feel most welcome. Lots of lovely features, from the flowers on the table to the Aga keeping us toasty warm at night. We looked across the valley to Coney's Castle, which proved to have the best bluebells we have ever seen - well worth the walk! What a great location.

We had an amazing stay and were made to feel very welcome by Mark and Sue. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, in particular providing us with a travel cot and baby bath for our 5 month old baby

Huge thanks to Mark and Susan for such a warm welcome to their amazing property. They have put so much thought into everything, we had a lovely weekend in an truly beautiful location. Just one word of warning - you won't want to leave! Perfect! Darren & Lindsey
