- The lovely views from both sitting room and bedroom over the lake and the village
- Walking down to Child Okeford for a choice of pubs on a summer evening
- Being able to walk to a decent village shop to stock up
You should know
- There is no garden or outside space to sit in
- You do have to climb a flight of wooden steps to get in so it won't suit those who find steps difficult
- Dogs (max. two, £25 per stay) may have to stay on a lead around livestock
A wonderful place for a couple (possibly with a baby) to escape and relax. Top Cottage is newly built and is very comfortable and spacious. Set on top of a hill, all the rooms have west-facing windows to take advantage of the spectacular views over the lake, set far below, and across the fields to Child Okeford village. It is hard to imagine a more perfectly peaceful rural retreat.
