The Barn at Clapton Manor

We loved our stay here. SO peaceful and comfortable. Very well equipped and with a beautiful garden to enjoy and delicious fresh home-made bread. Well positioned for days out and great to return to for a relaxing drink on the terrace.

We were enchanted by this beautifully converted barn. Situated in a small hamlet but close to many Cotswold villages, it was the perfect tranquil retreat. The interior is a delight, tastefully and artistically decorated and furnished, and equipped to a very high standard. It is spotlessly clean, with crisp white bedlinen, an excellent shower, and comfortable sofas. Karin and James are warm, friendly and helpful. We arrived to find a delicious home baked loaf and a jar of marmalade. The stone patio area is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening sun. We can't wait to return!

If you appreciate spotlessly clean accommodation, comfortable furniture on which to relax, crisp white bed linen and a generous bathroom then you will like The Barn. Add in Karin and James’s warm welcome and the delicious foodie gifts on arrival then you will love The Barn. Truly a little gem not to be missed.

Wonderful ,peaceful place to relax and recharge. Delightful decor, clean and renovated to a very high standard. Very warm welcome from James and Karin. Lovely village with walks from the door and ideally situated to visit the many gardens in the area. Can’t wait to go back.

A brilliant place to stay, very comfortable, very quiet and charming hosts next door. It is tastefully decorated and there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. Easy to visit Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford. Good places to eat nearby too. The weather was cold and wet when we visited in March but it was nevertheless warm and cosy in the Barn.

What a brilliant place to escape to the Cotswolds! Karin is a wonderful host who provides a great welcome pack with lots of goodies and local tips and knowledge. There are a couple of pubs that are close by who do great food and and drinks (mostly local!). The scenery is stunning and the barn itself is v cosy with an enormous bed that makes staying here for a long weekend complete bliss! Highly recommend!

Very much enjoyed our stay and the newly completed Barn lovely welcome pack. Karin was a great host who kept us very entertained with her stories and well informed of where to visit. Also very good sleeps in a very comfy bed.

We had an absolutely lovely weekend at the self-catering Barn. It's a perfect set-up for two with everything you need. The decor is delightful with beautiful fabrics and art all around, and a bookcase full of great reads. Karin adds lovely extra touches such as homemade bread and marmalade for your arrival. Quiet, peaceful, impeccably clean and a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Thoroughly recommended!

The Barn was perfect for a quick winter break. We were warm and cosy in spite of the December storms outside! The conversion melds Cotswold character with high spec accommodation and super comfortable beds. Already looking forward returning in the summer to enjoy the private patio and the gardens.

A very cosy and comfortable place to stay, facing away from the owners' house so you'll feel very private. You have your own large patch of garden but you're welcome to wander and admire Karin's clever design and planting in their own garden. This is such a peaceful area, you'll simply unbend.

Wowee what can I say, the perfect getaway. I was one of the first guests to stay in the barn and my goodness how lucky we were. It felt ever so homely and it seemed that every detail was tailored to ensure it was the most relaxing stay. The hosts Karin and James were absolutely fantastic. They were extremely helpful with any questions we had about the area and are just all round very very kind people. Karin rustled up a delicious breakfast (cooked breakfast on both occasions!) which stocked us up perfectly well for our days of walking.
