The Experience

This 16th century inn has been utterly transformed: all is smart and serene. Deeply comfy bedrooms overlook a babbling brook, the village cricket ground and rolling fields. Each has a spoiling wet room, many have standalone tubs. The apartment has its own terrace with hot tub and sauna, a downstairs suite is accessible, some interconnect for families.

Start your day with a juice shot, freshly baked pastry and locally sourced cooked breakfast before embarking on country pursuits: shooting, horse riding, fishing. You eat in their sister pub, The Crown, across the smart courtyard. Food follows a farm-to-table philosophy and everything is seasonal. Book the private dining room or a fun alfresco globe for a special occasion.

Borrow some Hunters or a brolly and hop on the Thames Path; visit National Trust properties: Bibury, Lodge Park and Chedworth Roman Villa are nearby. Return for a snazzy cocktail at the bar.

Reviews

We had such a lovely stay at Wild Thyme & Honey. Their attention to detail was fantastic, down to the kinds of tea we liked and whether we wanted a kettle for the morning. The enormous bath was a particular highlight! Dinner at The Crown was flawless (great atmosphere, delicious food) and breakfast kept us going for most of the day. Will definitely recommend to friends and family if they’re ever wanting a luxurious stay in the Cotswolds.

Samantha, Bristol

A lovely place located on the edge of a beautiful Cotswolds village. Very friendly team and really good food. Dog friendly too. The Crown and the Wild Thyme are essentially the same building, not sure the need for two names. Will definitely return!

Stacey, Somerset

We treated ourselves to a midweek break - it was wonderful! The suite was beautiful and there was real attention to detail in everything. Our Labrador loved it too especially the nice Barbour dog bed that was provided. Staff were friendly and we were offered a drink on arrival. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! Highly recommended.

Florence, Cheltenham

Had such a relaxing stay at Wild Thyme and Honey. Our gorgeous room was designed to a high standard and had lots of extra finishing touches which made our stay even more special! We particularly loved the complimentary sloe gin which we found on arrival. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a Cotswolds stay!

Beth, Crickhowell

The perfect place for a getaway! Beautifully designed spaces to dine, stylish bedrooms and attentive staff. If you are celebrating an occasion, the apartment would be the ultimate treat!
