The Cob at Montpelier

We have had the most amazing stay at the Cobb. Lynn and Simon are just so lovely! They really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure you enjoy your stay. The little touches like homemade brownies and giving us a creme egg (we stayed on the Easter weekend) are really appreciated. They even gave us a lift to the wedding we were attending. Its very clean, comfortable bed, modern shower, lovely breakfast! Thank you so much, we look forward to staying again.

HEAVEN! I barely moved, why would I? Hours spent on the Verandah simply “being”, birdwatching, reading, with occasional forays enjoying the wild meadows- nature has a home here. Our every need was attended to with such care, Simon and Lynn are the perfect hosts.

What a very special place to stay. We’ve loved just sitting on the Veranda watching the birds, and the grasses blowing in the breeze. Breakfasts were wonderful, thanks for sharing your very special place!

My third visit and my favourite place to stay. Everything is simple, perfect and at peace.

Our stay at The Cob was the perfect retreat from the pressures of everyday life. An early evening cider on the verandah of the shepherd’s hut was a particular delight And the breakfasts - better than any hotel! We’ll definitely be back.

Back for our second visit and it did not disappoint! Just as relaxing, reviving and special as before. This special little haven is the perfect retreat from busy lives.

After the rave reviews from my mum and my sister and partner, could The Cob live up to the hype? - of course it did! What a wonderful place to come and unwind - so peaceful and relaxing. Lynn and Simon have thought of everything and sitting on the Verandah eating delicious breakfasts overlooking the meadows was a real highlight.
