What heaven for gardeners, peace-seekers and nature lovers. You're bang
in the middle of the most gorgeous Walled Gardens and when the visitors
have gone home you have it all to yourselves. Bring your binoculars, pack
up a picnic, wander at will.

Sawday's Inspector
May Lodge was very clean and the standard of decoration good. However, the property is very small and I don't think that we could comfortably stay there for a full week. May Lodge is opposite the gift shop and coffee shop which is convenient but not ideal for our dogs who occasionally barked at customers and staff. The staff were all very kind and told me not to worry about the dogs, a big thank you to all of them for their help in several instances. The gardens are simply beautiful, we really enjoyed our stay and have booked a larger cottage away from the shop for a few days in July
